To see Stubby in some video clips:

The logo above was designed and is owned by a company callled Laughstub.com. They contacted me to bring the 2-D graphic to 3-D life.
At left, the logo is being patterned and sized to accommodate his upcoming life size.
Below, the projected size of the finished mascot.
At right, Stubby's face is sized up.
Below, Stubby oversees the patterning of his hand/gloves,
Above, rough placement of skin on body. The skin is a stretch velvet so it sometimes shows odd lighting on the nap in photos.
Left, Stubby mostly assembled with feature holes cut out, and details for final placement.
Above, a closeup of the notch at the top of Stubby's head. The fabric is streteched over a series of large holes cut in the foam that allow for heat to escape and ventilation.
Right, Stubby leans back against some boxes while his skin is anchored in various places.
Left, Stubby with eye and mouth screens in place and some details pinned on.
Below, a couple of pics of Stubby after being released into the wild.
Below is the finished character. The shot at an angle shows how thick he is (18") which gave him larger presence and also some room inside for the actor to not feel quite so claustrophobic. The variations on the body are being caused by the shadow of a branch, and Stubby is being approached by a wild jungle beast.....tune in later for more photos of Stubby in action.
