Designed by Marcel Prefontaine and funded by NASA, the final product of this project is an educational video on the basics of space presented through song and dance. It's aimed at grade school students and will be distributed free-of-charge to classrooms across the country.

My part in the project involved textile work, set construction and set dressing.  Since the project is in the course of shooting as I post these photos more pics will be added to the page in the course of the next couple of weeks.

Left and Above: Working on the Space-themed comforter for the opening scene. It was designed to look like a patchwork quilt for the little girl's bed.

And look at those broad shoulders at left!! :-)

Below:  Details of the Earth, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn appliques.

Left: The unusual selection of raw materials used to compose the planets.

Below:  Application of the circular orbits of the planets. They were created by shredding off-white muslin into 3/4" strips then sewing the strips onto circular lines.
